Dismissal: the first seven days decide the case
Which documents to request, which deadlines start running, and what not to sign on the spot.
When an employment relationship is terminated, the time limits for challenging it are short and start running from service of the order. Time lost here is almost never recoverable.
Request immediately
- a copy of the termination order stating the legal ground;
- proof of service with a date;
- a certificate of insured service and income.
Do not
Do not sign a mutual-consent termination agreement on the spot before calculating the compensation you would be owed on a different ground. Never sign documents with blank fields.
Check the ground
The ground stated in the order determines both the compensation due and the scope for challenging it. If it does not match the actual circumstances, the order can be contested in court.
